Esther Griego

Esther is an account executive at rbb Public Relations where she specializes in lifestyle and fashion and has developed a range of experience in media relations, event planning, company branding and consumer marketing. Prior to rbb, Esther honed her fashion savvy at Cece Feinberg Public Relations, representing luxury swimwear, accessories, designer apparel, and art clients.
Originally from the Southwest, Esther received her Bachelor’s in English Literature at the University of New Mexico where she also studied journalism, creative writing and Flamenco. Her creative pursuits, whether classical piano or video editing, have always brought her back to the importance of “the story” and the emotional connections forged by a good narrative.
At 17 she won her first Poetry Slam and went on to perform as part the 1998, 2000 and 2004 Albuquerque teams traveling to Austin, Chicago, St. Louis, New York, and Boston. She took a lead marketing role on the Executive Committee hosting the 2005 National Poetry Slam in Albuquerque. Her work has been featured in national news stories on poetry slam and in the 2008 anthology A Bigger Boat. She is the recipient of UNM’s 2006 Lena M. Todd Memorial Prize for poetry.
In addition to narrative, Esther has had a long-term love affair with graphic design, typesetting and layout. Her experience includes work in newspaper production, book and journal design, advertising, identity and event invitations. She is always on the lookout for new fonts and ideas to create stellar visual communications.
In the world of marketing public relations, Esther channels her obsession with storytelling into creating emotional bonds between brands and people. In her leisure time, Esther enjoys cooking, reading, knitting and watching action movies.
